Soul Surfer
The film Soul Surfer is based on the true story of Bethany Hamilton. The 13-year-old lives with her parents and two brothers in the surfer’s paradise of Kauai in Hawaii.
Together with her best friend and her family, Bethany goes surfing on a fateful day. As she paddles out on her board, she is attacked by a tiger shark, which bites off her left arm almost up to her shoulder.
She also loses 60 per cent of her blood, but miraculously survives. With the support of her loved ones, Bethany fights her way back to life and back on the surfboard.

Andy Irons – Kissed by God
The documentary film tells the story of the late legend Andy Irons from the perspective of his family and friends. His brother and mother share moving moments and memories.
The film shows the house where they grew up and the family’s living conditions. Surfing was like a refuge for the two Irons brothers in difficult times and was later also interesting as a competitive sport.
At just 16 and 17 years old, their passion became their profession and they won several surfing competitions. However, Andy’s life was not only filled with success – quite the opposite.
